We hear from New London, that on the 3d inst. a barn of Mr. Jeremiah CHAPEL of the North Parish, was consumed by fire, with a quantity of hay and grain that was therein. One Samuel ATWELL of the same place was committed to goal on suspicion of having wilfully set fire thereto. We hear likewise from the same place, that the wife of Mr. Richard JONES, being on horseback behind her husband, with a child in her arms, they fell off the horse near a loaded cart, a wheel of which went over Mrs. Jones's legs, and broke them; but it is thought she will recover.
