ALABAMA COTTON
------
The Crop Will Not be Any
Larger Than Last Year
------
Montgomery, September 2.—Commissioner of Agriculture R. R. Poople, who has just returned from his home in Marengo, is of the opinion that the cotton crop in Alabama will not be any larger than last year. He states that all the upland crop is opening and that he expects to see a rush to the market with the fleecy staple this month. The Commissioner says, as there is no cotton on the market and the supply limited and the demand great, the farmers should receive at least twelve cents for the cotton
