EUFAULA APPEALING FOR COAL
By Staff Correspondent
Montgomery, Ala., July 29.—An appeal for coal was received by the public service commission today from Eufaula, where there is not a pound of coal for the operation of essential industries. An effort is being made to obtain a car for temporary relief, but the commission stated relief cannot be permanent as the railroads are unable because of freight congestion to meet all demands. Atticus Mullin, secretary of the commission, said the shortage is serious in all sections of Alabama.
