shaking headshaking head In 1818 many folks in Southern Maryland died of I think Smallpox. In my husband's Wood family, Samuel Wood, Sr. lost three of his adult Wood children is the space of a few months. What a tragedy for all these families!

Letty, I have just posted an article to the Anne Arundel County, Maryland, page that mentioned a Samuel Wood. He was the son of William Wood of Anne Arundel. Don't know if this is your line, but you might want to view the article. It appeared in the July 25, 1805, edition of the Maryland Gazette and is headlined "Legal Notice: Wood et al. vs. Wood et al." The article had to do with the sale of the real property assets of William Wood following his death. Good luck with your research. Susan
